Seven nights stay at the Byron Hotel; daily English breakfast at the hotel; two hour highlights tour of the Victoria and Albert Museum; three one-two hour lectures at the Victoria and Albert Museum on the textile collections focusing on samplers. Assistance in independent study using the textile collections at the museum. One day admission ticket to The Knitting and Stitching Show. Copy of 2007 Show Book at the Knitting and Stitching Show. Afternoon tea, Harrod's Georgian restaurant, farewell dinner at Porter's English Restaurant, Covent Garden and fees required by institutions the group visits. Goodie bag with assorted information and surprises Linn and/or Libby will accompany the group on all scheduled group activities. Libby will again be our official group photographer and group members will receive a CD photo album (one per household) of our adventures as well as a printed group photo.
Ground Transportation
Included in your tour package is a seven day , four zone travel card (via the Oyster Card System) for travel on London Underground (The Tube); London buses and light rail and train services within the greater London.
Both Heathrow and Gatwick Airports are served by an airport shuttle (minivan with multiple stops) which is included in your tour costs. You will be assisted with your luggage at the airport and brought to the door of the hotel. The Gatwick service uses a minivan between the hotel and the Gatwick Express train where you will be assisted aboard a special car. Again you will have assistance with your luggage at each transfer. You should note that late night arrivals cannot be booked with the shuttle service Hotelink and you will need to provide your own transportation to the hotel if you plan to arrive after 8:00 p.m. or so. Time is needed to clear English customs and immigration and shuttle services cease at approximately 10:00 p.m.
BRING ALONG A NON-STITCHING FRIEND, SPOUSE, OTHER RELATIVE OR A NICE STRANGER.
For a reduced fee of $2,100.00 double occupancy or $2,500.00 single occupancy, your companion is welcome to join the group for any activity other than the Knitting and Stitching Show and special needlework lectures. They will receive a special non-stitcher's goodie bag and a photo CD. As with stitcher participants a deposit of $500.00 is required. $250.00 of this amount is non-refundable. One-half of the remaining costs must be received by June 15, 2007. All costs must be paid on or before September 1, 2007. Any fees paid (less $250.00) will be refunded if written cancellation is received prior to September 1, 2007. No refunds can be made for cancellations received September 1, 2007 or thereafter.

London is a city extending on both sides of the Thames. This vibrant river has been revived in recent years and is the scene of high rise office buildings and trendy condos.
