A CATALOG OF FINE NEEDLEWORK DESIGNS AND SUPPLIES

NEEDLEWORK TOOLS, TOYS AND SUPPLIES

We suggest you try your local needlework shop for fabrics, fibers and other needlework supplies.  Many of the fine shops listed in our shop links can help you obtain a full range of needlework supplies and offer hands on advice on their use.  If you have no other choice, we try to fill the needs of stitchers with a small selection of materials for executing our designs and those we routinely use to stitch models.

THREAD WINDERS

I became very frustrated when I couldn't find reasonably priced reproduction thread winders for sewing boxes/baskets so I found a very fine manufacturer, commissioned SIX different styles in bone and horn and now import them directly. Try one or all six of them. They are all approximately 1 1/4 " in diameter and slightly convex on the front with a flat backside. Because these are natural bone or horn, the color will vary from piece to piece.

These are made from cattle bone and horn, no endangered species  are involved in their manufacture.
PRICE    $3.50/each

NO NAME SCISSORS

I'm always losing scissors but like spiffy looking little embroidery scissors in my workbasket.  The dilemma was sourcing pretty scissors at a reasonable price.  I was delighted to find these "no name" scissors that have some style and are good enough for everyday use
.                                                        $6.00
